Anthony Isaacs Health Issues

Donation protected
What happened to Tony Picasso (Anthony Isaacs)?  To put it simply, Tony has been battling an acute and progressive major neurocognitive disorder.  After numerous tests and hospital visits, some of which are still ongoing, his most concrete diagnosis is Encephalopathy.  Encephalopathy is simply defined as a disease or disorder of the brain.  While many of his colleagues beleive Tony has "fell off the map" or has "written people off", the truth is he currently lacks the ability to communicate effectively, and is unable to care for himself.  He is currently under the care of his close family and friends, and has been living in and out of hospitals and other specialized institutions for the past 2 years.

How your donation can help?
Although Tony has insurance, the healthcare system is not designed to care for someone with a severe neurocognitive disorder.  Infact, Tony has experienced some severe hardships when dealing with his insurance company and his various doctors, and is at a point at which he needs your help.  Any donation offered to his GoFundMe Campaign will be used directly to pay for uncovered doctors treatments/visits, insurance copays, in-home health care services, medication, and to help offset Tony's inability to earn a living.  The funds will be sent directly to Tony's family and caretaker upon withdrawl.

Who is Anthony Isaacs?
Anthony was known by his friends and colleagues, most of whom were Magicians, as "Tony Picasso" .  He was born in England in 1967, and moved to South Africa where he lived with his father, mother, younger sister and twin brother.

He got his start in magic as a young boy after visiting a small toy shop in Johannesburg called Roys for Toys, which also sold magic tricks.  Roy, the store owner, saw Tony as a thirsty sponge and invited him to join a young magicians group which met regularly every Wednesday night.  As Tony was growing up, his two passions in life were magic and sports.  His sporting career included a short professional football/soccer career in the Wanderers AFC Football Club, as well as a successfull college career playing both football and tennis.  Tony's interest in magic and performing never waned, and it motivated him to move to the USA in 1987 to pursue the Hollywood dream of a career in Radio, Film and Television.  He attended San Diego State University and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Radio, Film and Television with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism.

Shortly after graduating college, Tony moved to Los Angeles and fully immersed himself into the magical arts.  He was a performing member of the Magic Castle, and became one of the most well known members of the Academy of Magical Arts for over 20 years.  People used to say, that if you've visited the Magic Castle, but haven't met Tony Picasso, then you haven't visisted the Magic Castle.  All the luminaries of the Magic Castle, including Larry Jennings, Bruce Cervon, Tony Giorgio, David Malek, Bill Goodwin, Howard Hamburg, etc. ALL knew Tony, and had close personal relationships with him.  While Tony was building himself as a legend of the Castle, he was simultaneously coaching Tennis for Harvard Westlake High School, a highly respected private school in Los Angeles.  Even as recently as 2015, Tony was performing quite regularly, and was one of the most respected magicians in the world.

A message from Tony's Brother:

“With health one has many wishes; without health one has only one wish” Taylor-Kevin Isaacs.

My brother, Anthony Isaacs, and your colleague and friend-who you know as Tony Picasso -is very ill and in much need of all of your help, hope, support, and prayers. Tony has been diagnosed as having Encephalopathy, which is a collective term for a disorder of the brain. He is undergoing a multitude of tests in order to find out the root cause. Currently, his doctors are bandying about a few plausible causes, one of which is viral. Tony’s symptoms include but are not limited to the following: Muscle weakness, trembling, difficulty speaking and swallowing, involuntary twitching, trembling, seizures, confusion and disorientation. His long-term outlook is guarded. His doctor’s believe that with the right treatment, a supportive community, family, and friends, along with the power of prayer, faith, and consistent dedicated hard work that Tony will once again reclaim his health, happiness, and life.
Thank you for all of your help in getting Tony back to his three loves that live inside of him namely, expressing his creativity performing at the Magic Castle and being at his best on the soccer field and tennis court"

Thank you!
Tony gave alot of himself to the Magic and sporting community.  Sometimes spending countless hours assisting other magicians with their shows, and offering mentorship to dozens of young and aspiring magicians.  While Tony cannot express his thanks and gratitude for your donation, his family and close friends would like to express it for him.

Who is the campaign manager?  I have been a close friend to Tony for the last 24 years, and live in the Los Angeles area.
