Kathakas for Juvenile Diabetes!

Donation protected
In union there is strength and power, which have been the driving forces for the five of us to launch our first dynamic Kathak show, “Anokhi Ada”, under the guidance of Antara Bhardwaj.  While playing with lightning-fast footwork, brisk pirouettes, and nostalgic melodies, we aim to create a unique showcase of ancient dance, paralleled in modern times. Our individual dance journeys have twisted and turned throughout the last 10 years, simultaneously and collectively leading us all to this milestone, which we hope to share with all of you.

We are also excited to use our passion to make a change in the world— the proceeds from this show will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). JDRF strives to fund research aimed at creating transformational therapies to help, and hopefully find a cure for people who live with Type 1 diabetes. We have chosen to help fund this organization because we have all had friends grow up with this condition around us, and as academics and extracurriculars become more demanding with age, it can be quite difficult for them to manage their health while remaining engaged in their school communities. JDFR dreams to create a life-changing cure for Type I diabetes, and the support from this show will be a catalyst to further their efforts.

We thank you for your generosity!
