Support Farm Pe'ah: Sukkot Retreat 5785

Welcome to Pe'ah!
Nestled in the beautiful Finger Lakes region near Ithaca, NY, Jewish farm project Pe'ah looks to marry deep love of Torah and Jewish community life with commitment to land, agriculture, and living in harmony with the earth. Our mission is embodied in the words of Rabbi Elazar ben Azariah in Pirkei Avot (3:17), "Without wheat, there is no Torah. And without Torah, there is no wheat." Traditional Jewish learning must go beyond the beit midrash and be rooted in its agricultural history. Our interactions with the world and all creation become richer when situated within our ancestral traditions.
The event
Pe'ah is excited to announce our opening mini-retreat happening this holiday of Sukkot! Sunday October 20 thru Tuesday October 22, we will be offering a variety of programming appealing to a wide range of audiences, from hands-on agricultural Torah to traditional beit midrash learning to arts & crafts (decorate the sukkah with braided garlic, anyone?). We will also be featuring a town hall to hear from the local community about what Pe'ah can offer in the Ithacan Jewish ecosystem and beyond.
Fundraising
Your financial support will go directly towards costs for this event, including holiday meals, snacks, and materials for activities (printing, crafting materials, folding chairs). Any additional funding we secure will go towards future events and development at Pe’ah.
