Annjie’s fight

On January 5, 2018 my mom Annjie went to an urgent care thinking that she had pneumonia after fighting a nasty cold for a few weeks and not feeling better. The doctor didn’t hear anything in her lungs but wanted to do an x-ray to rule out pneumonia. The x-ray showed no signs of pneumonia but did show a mass in her right lung. A couple Scans and a Bronchoscopy were done a few days later.  On January 12, 2018 at the age of 44, mom was diagnosed with a stage 4 lung cancer that is caused by a type of genetic mutation. Anyone who knows my mom knows her as a Spitfire, with a fun/joking personality and an insanely caring soul. She’s the first person to drop everything and help family and friends in need and now she needs everyone to be there for her. Not surprisingly she is against me making a go fund me page but I believe that she needs to focus on fighting the fight of her life without her and my stepdad being worried about every day bills, their eight-year-old daughter Cecelia and the cost of extremely expensive cancer drugs/treatment.
