In January 2019, I am going to Perth, Australia to do a DTS (Discipleship Training Scheme). It is called 'Priceless DTS', focussing on justice (because God is a God of justice!), with the slogan 'Know truth. Bring truth. Set captives free.'
It will include 3 months of discipleship training and 3 months of outreach.
The discipleship training will be in a 12 week course, with topics such as 'Spiritual Warfare' and 'Making Jesus Lord' (exciting stuff!) - it will be a real experience of fellowship and building a solid foundation in God for going into the rest of my life. I am hoping to make the most of every minute there, listening to what God has to teach me and learning to put Him at the centre of my life.
The outreach will be an amazing opportunity to practise all that I will have learnt in my training, working with at-risk groups reaching out to men, women and children involved in labor, sex trafficking and many other states of injustice.
As it is a self-funding trip, I am relying on my own finances and friends and family to help fund for the course and flights there and back.
I am going to be raising money over the next year through different activities and events which I hope you will come to and enjoy.
