Annie Ewers Medical Journey

Annie was born with a rare genetic condition called rectal atresia.

At just 1 day old she was swept into surgery to receive a colostomy bag .

In her first year of life she has endured countless doctor appointments & 14 surgeries to help correct her condition. One of those surguries being a reverseal surgery for her condition , unfortunately that surgery wasn’t successful. So Johnna & Annie have started the journey over again. Annie is having a much harder time since she has a more delicate ileostomy instead of colostomy this go around.

Her ileostomy is hard to regulate and this has caused Annie to be in and out of the hospital multiple times in a short 2 month period. They have 2 more surgeries that we know of for sure with the next one being April 5th and the next 6 weeks after.

Johnna & Annie have been in the hospital since March 15th, they will not be able to leave until 1-2 weeks after her April 5th procedure. They will be in the hospital for over a month and away from home. Anything raised will help will medical bills.
