Annette Weber's Drive to Survive

H.E.L.P! Hi my name is Randy Weber. My beautiful wife, Annette and I are reaching out to you all with an urgent financial need. She is truly a miracle woman, who has had a pancreas-kidney transplant nearly 28 years ago. God has brought her through more medical challenges than anyone I've ever known. Here are some current and past health issues. This is by no means a complete list.

3-time cancer survivor (including mastectomy)
cardiac vascular disease     blind; one eye
heart attacks                             good eye impaired
open-heart surgery               broken femurs (thigh bone)
stents                                            each leg broken separately
kidney failure                            numerious infections      
diabetes (age 6)

Annette was released from the hospital after a 3 day stay last week. Because of dangerously high potassium, which was high enough that it could have stopped the heart. Due to a severe case of pneumonia in March she was in the hospital for 5 days, coupled with many urinary tract infections. She is in a very weakened condition because of the kidney dialysis 3 times/week. She has very low blood pressure (nearly passing out). This makes her a great fall risk, requiring around the -clock care. I work full time, and have mostly had to pay for a care giver while I am at work. This cost is enormous and has exceeded my paycheck many times. We are desperate! This is unsustainable and will soon result in a loss of our home and likely, bankruptcy, if nothing changes. We have been blessed to live here for 21 years and hope to stay for many more. It saddens me greatly to see what has become of my once-vibrant, very active wife. At times she experiences confusion, especially when blood pressure drops. She always possessed a great fighting spirit and a smile that can melt your heart and light up a stadium! Still a fighter, however that smile has become a struggle and increasingly rare. In reflective moments, I've shed more than a few tears. (My heart breaks as I write this). When I see all that Annette has endured through the years with a great attitude and grateful spirit, I am humbled. She has been a hero and inspiration to me and all who have met her.

I know that God is good and the world is full of generous people. With financial assistance and prayers of family and friends, church and new friends, we can make it through this crisis.
