Anne's Medical Expenses

Over the years I’ve begged for many things, for many people, for many charities, but never for myself. This time it’s for me. Moving back south depleted mine and Pete’s (Lynn) reserve funds as well as my lay-off from my full-time job. My truck accident and loss of much of our personal property during the move took the rest of our reserve but we were doing okay until the call came that Saturday noon the first of July for me to immediately go to the emergency room (and it wasn’t even in my Medicare and then there were the 7 days in the hospital and 4 dialysis sessions.

Before the end of August I had my second dialysis access surgery through my left elbow, which we’re still trying to access for my dialysis sessions, which I have 3 days a week, 4 hours each day and the costs keeps adding up. Lucky, if you call it lucky is that my cost will stop at $6,000.00, but I will owe the various hospitals, doctors and my dialysis center the $6,000.00 this year and they have already started asking that the money be paid. I have Medicare and a supplement…the $6,000.00 is my part.

I’ve never asked before, but I’m asking now. If you have an extra $5, $10, $20, $50 or even a $100 that you can spare, know it will be greatly appreciated. I don’t know when it can be repaid, or you can think of it as a being “paid forward”. Know if I know who you are, I’ll get it back to you just as soon as I can. Love you and God Bless!
