Anne Chemi's House Fund

Anne needs our help!  As she announced recently, her body is no longer responding to treatment for cancer. Her brave 7 year battle with cancer will be coming to an end at some point as the tumors continue to grow and the doctors have advised her that there is nothing they can do. Anne and her boyfriend, Duke, have been building a house for the past 3 years  - and it is important to Anne that this house be finished as quickly as possible so that she can move in and spend her final days/months in a place that doesn't require her to climb the steps to go to her bedroom or bathroom (as is the case with her current home). She is low on energy and cannot continue climbing the stairs in her current house for much longer. Seeing the house progress and moving into it are very important to her emotional health too as it gives her something wonderful to look forward to and to be excited about. Anne and Duke have been working with a contractor over the past few months, but unfortunately he made some very big errors (the steps are wonky among other serious snafus...) and now he is MIA and not returning their calls. All of this is setting them back thousands of dollars and the race to finish the house requires cash flow that most people who are 100% healthy don't have access to. The house requires repair of the errors as well as finishing up so that they can begin sheet rocking the interior and getting the painting started, appliances and cabinets in, etc - and hopefully to hire a few extra helping (skilled/licensed) hands to expedite the process so that Anne can have her bedroom and bath on the ground floor - and enjoy her home during this phase of her journey.
