Anna's Triathlon for YoungLives!

I SO appreciate all of your support! I am extremely humbled by all of your amazing donations towards Young Lives and I thus far! Thank you SO much!! Today was an incredible day and thank you for being a part of it!
I am running, biking and swimming in the Boulder Peak Olympic Triathlon (1.5K swim, 42K bike, 10K run) on July 14th in order to raise money for YoungLives. This is my first time competing in a triathlon distance this far. YoungLives is a part of the non-profit organization, Young Life. I have been involved with Young Life since high school and it has made a significant impact on my life. My freshman year of high school, I accepted Christ at one of Young Life's amazing summer camps at Windy Gap in North Carolina along with some of my best friends. After attending several camps, being on Summer Staff at a camp at Lake Saranac in New York and a leader with my husband at North Central High School for a few years in Indianapolis, I feel extremely passionate about this organization and the incredible impact it will have on middle school and high school students.
Upon moving to Colorado, I have had the privilege of learning about an area of Young Life I was not aware of called Young Lives that was started about 4 years ago here and is starting to take off in other parts of the country now. In Young Life, we have the privilege of extending Jesus Christ's love to kids as they are, where they are. For high school and middle school girls who are expecting or are raising a child on their own, that love takes the form of a program called YoungLives.
Treating each mom and her child or children with unconditional love and respect, YoungLives offers teen moms relief from the isolation and struggle of their daily lives and hope for the future. YoungLives mentors provide friendship, parenting advice and help meeting the practical demands of raising a child. At YoungLives club and camp, moms get to socialize and have fun while their babies get the best possible care.
As a mom of 3 young children, I know and understand the challenges that come along with raising children. I can only imagine the pressures these single mothers in middle school and high school feel. Please show your support in helping me send a few of these girls and their children in YoungLives Denver club to summer camp this summer in Arizona to have fun, be teenagers and hear about Jesus so they know they are not alone in their everyday challenges. Your money will go directly to YoungLives.
