As most of you know, I am leaving at the end of August to spend 9 months in Redding, California attending the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry (BSSM). For the last year and a half, I have been asking God to give me clear direction on what I should do, and I have no doubt that He is leading me to Redding for this next season of my life. It is a 3 year program, but a commitment to all 3 years is not required. For now, I know that I am supposed to do 1 year for sure and maybe 2.
BSSM and my time in California will keep me on a rather rigorous schedule, and while I know I will be stretched greatly in many areas, I am excited about the new experiences and adventures. I will have classes Monday-Thursday, outreach programs throughout the week, mandatory services to attend, as well as trying to work around 16-24 hours a week. I am hoping to join the student worship team and am excited about that opportunity since music is such a strong passion of mine. I will be going on a 3 day retreat at the beginning of the semester to get to know the other students at school and form connections with the ones I will be living with. I will also be going on a mission’s trip with BSSM over spring break. These mission's trips range from a short distance trip to a nearby city or state, and beyond to a different country on this continent or overseas. I am thrilled with the opportunity to travel, and personally hope to join one of the overseas mission’s trips. In the meantime though, I will be studying different aspects of Christian ministry, growing deeper in the things of God amongst a community of like-minded students, and joining in on several city outreach assignments.
While I believe with all my heart that God has lead me to BSSM for this fall, I have not had the opportunity to save up ahead of time for the cost of tuition, the retreat, or the mission's trip. I will have a part-time job while in Redding for now, and whatever I earn will go towards rent and my monthly living expenses, but the leader at my housing complex in California is advising me to cut down on the amount of time I work because of school and ministry responsibilities. As my family and friends, your support has already been so overwhelmingly kind, but if you would like to support me financially with a one-time money gift or even commit to supporting me on a monthly basis, would be greatly appreciated. You can even do a direct deposit into my student account at Anna's BSSM account , which actually makes it easier for me. My tuition deadline is August 29th, and while I know this is short notice, I firmly believe that the God who provides all my needs is always on time. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support. It means more to me than I could ever say.
