Anna-Marie's Mission Trip

Hi Friends! Come February I will be spending two weeks in Kenya for my first ever mission trip. This is something that I have prayed about and it has been on my heart for awhile now. In a world full of so much chaos and hate I think we all need to be reminded that we are not the standard, we ALL need grace. If you know me, then there is no hiding how much I love children and truly could not imagine a world without them.

Although teaching is the most rewarding job, I feel God has called me for more and He has opened every door for me to go on this mission trip.. During my time in Kenya I will be working through the organization Empower A Child to help vulnerable, underprivileged children in the slums of Nairobi and Kibera. I will have the opportunity to work in the schools, rehabilitation centers and orphanages in the villages. I will admit that I am nervous to travel to a third world country alone, but I have all the faith that God will have His hand on me during this entire journey. Sometimes God calls us to be uncomfortable which encourages us to use our faith to complete His will, His way.

I can’t wait to love on these lost and hurting children and let them see Him through me. If you are donating towards my trip and Empower A Child thank you from the bottom of my heart in advance.
