Hi. My cousin, Annabeth (Brandon) Lamebull has Liver Cancer. If she doesn't get a Liver transplant soon, she will die.
Annabeth is 62 years old and lives in Grants, New Mexico with her loving husband, Bill, (Frenchy) De Rushe'-Lamebull. They live on a secluded mountain and are surrounded by their animals that Frenchy and her lovingly care for.
Annabeth was first diagnosed with Liver Cancer in the fall of 2013. She went through 10 months of chemo and went into remission in the summer of 2014. Her tumor was only 2 cm., managable. In May of 2017 she had a 6 month routine MRI, the tumor had doubled in size. She was again diagnosed with the terrible infliction. She was told that she needed a Liver transplant or she would die.
After many screenings her Doctors decided they were going to try to keep the cancer under control, (until she could get a transplant) by doing a procedure called, Arterial-Chemoembolization. This is a process where they go through the artery and place, 'chemo beads' around the tumor. Unfortunately this will not cure her.
Annabeth has just officially been put on the transplant list! Her continuing experience with the Arterial Chemo is also being studied.
So far the financial cost of this journey has been around $35,000+. This includes the uncomfortable traveling from Grants to Denver, screening, test and all body checkups that have had to be done before she could even be considered a transplant recepient. It doesn't count the Arterial Chemo surgery or the traveling cost. Unfortunately that is just a drop in the bucket. The actual transplant and immediate treatment is between $600,000 and $700,000!
Annabeth is a very kind, giving person. She is a mother of 3, a loving Grandmother of 10. She has always been an animal lover, adopting and helping dogs to find good, forever homes. She continues to work as a Vet tech and office manager at Airport Animal clinic, in Milan, NM. even through her pain. She has been dedicated to this clinic and their animals for 23 years.
