Anna Giannakopoulos Celebration

Anna Giannakopoulos, who was named the recipient of the CJKL Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013, along with her husband, Constantinos, owns Mama's Restaurant, in Kirkland Lake. Her longtime generosity to her community is known throughout the area, with many people lovingly referring to her as Mama on a regular basis. She has and always will be a shining example of kindness, charity and love in our community, as an entrepreneur, mother, wife and friend to all. It is with the deepest sadness that we have learned that Anna has been diagnosed with inoperable and terminal cancer.
Like a true one-of-a-kind, Anna is facing this diagnosis with the best attitude and is hosting her own "Celebration Of Life” on Saturday, March 24th, 2018.
Anna and her family invite everyone to join them for an all-out party to celebrate life, love, family and friendship. There are just two rules: Have fun and don't wear black (it’s a celebration and, besides, Unicorns are blackblind )
The event takes place at Northern College, in Kirkland Lake:
- Kids are invited to enjoy a carnival from 1-3PM, in the Cafeteria.
- Then it's time for the adults in the gym, starting at 6pm with cocktails and food starting to arrive at 7PM. There will be a cash bar, draws, and donation games.
Entrance is $20 at the door (no tickets). And because so many people would like to support this event but not all are able to attend, requests were made for ways to support Anna from afar, thus this GoFundMe page.
