I am Manuella Vincent, I love being a parent and have the opportunity to bring a family member into my loving home. Adopting my niece is something I've have been thinking about since she was born. I've thought about it for a number of years and for the last couple of years I've been making preparations. With a recent trip to Haiti, I've been able to connect with my brother and his daughter Anna. Anna is my heart and bringing her here to the US with the rest of family would bring us all joy. Haiti offers the best and worst of what life has to offer over the span of a minute, days and years, creating a child that is well beyond her years. The consistency of education, family, and love will allow Anna to grow at a pace that is normal for a 7-year-old.
As you may know, adoption can be costly: There are home study & processing fees, adoptive parent training tuitions, official document translation, medical costs, immigration and identification fees, travel, hotels, agency, and legal fees.
Many of the fees have caught me by surprise and puts me in a unique and awkward situation where I would like to ask for help. Adoption can be risky and expensive, the total funds necessary for this adoption will be in excess of $35,000. I've already initiated the process with a deposit and signed the adoption services agreement and the rest will be due according to a schedule provided by A Love Beyond Borders, the licensed adoption. The agency is well known and arranges and facilitates the adoption home study, post-adoption services, and international adoption.
I'd like to complete this process and would greatly appreciate any amount you would be willing to donate. Every dollar will be used to complete our family and bring this little girl into a loving home. If not today, then tomorrow or even later this year...it won't happen overnight. You will forever have my love and gratitude with all of our hearts. Thank you for helping make our family dreams come true and giving Anna the opportunity of being the best person we know she will be.
