Early in 2014, our dear cousin, Ann Clark was diagnosed with cancer. At that time, the disease was found to be in a tumor that was pressing against her esophagus. She received treatment at M.D. Anderson in Houston and for a short time, we all thought that everything was going to be okay. However, in 2015 Ann was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Since then she has had brain surgery four times for four tumors on her brain.
In 2015, her husband, Dane lost his long-time job in the oil field which also caused the loss of their medical insurance. Because of her medical condition and the care that she has needed, Dan has been unable to go back to work full time. Their financial situation has consistently been worsening as it was necessary to use all of their savings to provide for her medical care.
On November 1, 2017, Ann was diagnosed with her fifth brain tumor. This tumor is deeper than the ones she has had removed so far and differently shaped. It is pressing on her left optic nerve and she is now blind in that eye.
After 2 years of surgery and fighting like the strong woman she is, she is opting to forgo surgery this time. She has chosen to stay home with the time she has left on her terms. She is now at home with care from Hospice. The financial situation for their family is desperate. They have no income other than the few odd jobs Dane is able to get. They need help for basic survival expenses: electric bills, gas bills, groceries. The things that most of us take for granted. Dane and Ann have four children, Jennifer, Dana and Anna, and Bubba. Bubba is a special needs child, who still lives at home with them.
This precious family urgently needs our prayers and our help financially. Please if you are able, help them as quickly as you can. Any gift, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated.
