Angela Yeo's 2014 Competition Season

Angela Yeo (Ankhjii) will be competing in several Figure events in the 2014 season, her first season as a pro. We haven't yet been able to secure sponsors, so every expense for every show will have to come from us and from our generous supporters. Here is a recap of the 2013 season.

Her first competition was in April 2013 at a local show - The Toledo Glass Scepter. She won the novice figure overall and then the open figure overall titles. You can see some info and images by clicking here.


Her second competition was in August. It was an international show - The 2013 Natural Universe where she won the open overall title in figure again. This won her a pro card and an invite to the Olympia. More info and images available by clicking here and you can see an interview after the win by clicking here.
It is important to stress here that she is a member of the INBA and PNBA which you can read about at the Natural Bodybuilding website
-This means that she is committed to being an all natural athlete, INBA/PNBA drug test all athletes 100% to WADA standards - the same standards that Olympic athletes are held to. Her wins are thanks to her hard work and clean eating.

Ankhjii attended the Natural Olympia in November of 2013. This was her first opportunity to participate as a professional athlete. She won the silver medal in both the amateur and the professional class which made her a full fledged professional athlete. You can see pictures from the Olympia here.

We are at the tail end of the 2014 season now and getting ready for the Natural Olympia. This will be her 3rd show of the season. The first 2, The Spartan Classic and The Natural Universe she won Professional Figure.

Ankhjii started out on her own which is very unique. Through the 2013 season she did not even belong to a gym, no coach, no trainer, no plan. Recently she began as a personal trainer at Total Nutrition which also allows her to train at a gym while helping others get in shape. She has also joined up with The Hardbody Team which helps keep her on track, but adds expense.

The 2014 season will be extremely challenging. There will be several shows and each comes with a good deal of expense. While we do our best to save every penny, generous donations truly help us to make each competition a reality.

Here is a breakdown of some of the estimated costs that the season and each individual show can incur so that you can see where our total has come from:

Coaching - At least $100 per month
Hotel expenses - $110 - $700 depending on the event
Travel - $100 - &1000 depending on location and whether driving or flying
PNBA Pro Card Application - $150 annual
Pro Figure Entry - $200 - $275 per show
My (her husband) all access pass - $100 - $249 (I need all access to go backstage to help her any way I can)
Cooler, Food, and Cookware/hotplate - $300 (there are often no kitchenette rooms, we need to be able to prepare competition food for her)
Groceries and dining - $400
Posing Suit - $400 (usually try to get a new one every now and then for a fresh stage presence)
Taxi / Rental Car - $350 (we still need to determine what will work best)
Tanning - $250
Airport Parking - $150
GoFundMe Fees - Percentage of every donation

HOOOOOLY crap am I nervous! In my heart I just want this year to be as amazing, if not more than the last!!! 2014 COULD BE EPIC!!!!! Win or lose, I'll be putting all my energy into sculpting and building the body I want to live in, learn as much as I can, and have a blast living a healthy, natural lifestyle with my tight knit group of friends and family!
If anyone knows of other events nearby, expos, shows, etc plz, LET ME KNOW!!!
