Anita's Surgery

I am making this gofundme page for my sister, Anita. 

She has a congenital back problem called Spondylolisthesis. A mouth full, I know - but in essence this means her vertebrae has slipped forward creating severe back pain and neurological defeciets in her legs including unrelenting sciatic pain. Since the spinal cord runs through the vertebral colomn, this also means that she is losing sensation in her feet and also losing movement and muscle. 

Anita is a very adventurous individual, she is a gymnastics coach, a lover of outdoor activities and all things fun. However, now she is unable to even walk over 100m, forcing her into a wheelchair, and forcing her out of her out of all the activities she loves. 

The bad news is she needs surgery, the good news is we can all contribute to her recovery. Since Anita has private health cover she is eligable for the surgery in september, which leaves her a gap payment of approximately 10,000 dollars.
