This is not a story of sadness. This is a story of triumph & healing!
Please join in & help me get the medical treatment I need for my hips.
I have danced my entire life, and after a 3-year break I decided to return in the year 2018. Not long after beginning to dance again, pain in my hips started one at a time and eventually I could no longer walk normally. After 2 years of many obstacles and an emotional journey, I finally know the diagnosis for my hips! I have labral tears in each of my hips that will need to be repaired surgically since they will not heal on their own. In order to do this I must have surgery for each hip (with a few months between) in Washington D.C., which is where the specialist who found it will operate. I will finally be pain-free and able to walk, work out, and dance again. Many of you have watched my experience from the beginning and have been hoping for the best for me. The best is finally here! This is coming very quickly since my first surgery is June 3. I’m confident we can reach this goal!! Any proceeds remaining after my 2nd surgery on September 16 will be contributed to another person’s medical expenses!
I am in over my head financially with my source of income being my student loans (I am a full-time medical student) and I need your help. It's urgent that I get to at least half this goal before June 3 or else I will have to cancel the surgeries.
Included in this goal:
- Flights to and from for June & Sept
- 3-4 night hotel stay for June & Sept
- Cost of both surgeries including the facility charge, anesthesia charge, and surgeon charge for each
- Travel while in DC (to and from hotel, airport, and medical facilities)
- Assistance with medical expenses procured up to this point
I'm hoping that you're able to contribute in some way. I cannot heal without a village beside me.
