About 3 years ago, I began suffering from a myriad of confusing symptoms: debilitating cramps (that would often lead to vomiting or passing out,) dyspareunia, cyclic pelvic pain, severe fatigue, bloating, and nausea, among other things. My daily life was impacted severely, and I felt like a shell of the person I used to be. After several doctors, invasive and uncomfortable testing, and almost a year and a half, I had my first surgery and was diagnosed with stage 2 endometriosis. Endometriosis has no cure and is one of the most painful diseases to exist.
Since that time, I have done my best to manage my symptoms, but there is no real treatment or cure for this disease. With the help of my amazing doctor, we have determined that the best course of action is to undergo a partial hysterectomy with excision of endometriosis. This is a much more intense procedure than I ever imagined having, and I am having to take off more time than expected; I will be healing for a minimum of 4 weeks, and most likely 6-8 weeks. I am humbly asking for assistance through this difficult time while I attempt to focus on my healing. Your donation will help with the cost of surgery and ensure that I am able to have the necessary time off to heal.
I cannot thank you enough.
