On average, we spend $12,000-$17,000 per year on animal care expenses which include the cost of food, veterinary services, substrate/bedding, heat bulbs, enrichment, and travel carriers. These costs are usually covered by business revenue. Even though the business has been closed, these expenses continue as our animals continue to require food, enrichment, and veterinary care. Since our closure due to COVID-19, we have had $5,850 in animal related expenses.
We are currently working on launching a virtual version of our services which we hope we will be able to use to support our business until in person services can resume. We are asking for help now to help us cover our animal related expenses to fill in the gap between the relief funds we received and the return of our business revenue. We are hoping to raise $2,800 by the end of June.
We are so grateful for any contributions that you can make. Our animal educators are looking forward to going back to the job they love. We are proud of the joy and wonder that our animals bring to our local communities. Your generous donation will ensure that we will be able to continue to provide our excellent level of care for our animal friends and that we will be able to continue sharing our passion for animals with our community. Thank you so much for your support!
