I’m on a mission to help Anil—my friend, fraternity brother, former roommate, and co-worker—with his heart transplant.
Anil is a 27-year-old newly minted California attorney, who was about to take the Alabama Bar Exam next week.
Anil had no history of heart problems, but was really sick when he called on my birthday.
The next day, Anil FaceTime’d me from an L.A. hospital with news that he was experiencing heart failure and doctors were working to solve the mystery.
A few days ago, Anil underwent an emergency procedure to save his life, and now a machine is pumping blood throughout his body for him. This machine is a viable option for a few more days only.
The doctors and hospital administrators are working to get Anil on the heart transplant list. We are waiting for his insurance provider to decide whether they will fund some of the cost of his new heart.
In anticipation of the heart transplant that Anil will need, I am creating this GoFundMe to help him and his family meet their financial obligations for the costs associated with Anil’s health care & his family’s travel expenses.
