After years of barbecuing at outside church events, my father wanted to help me get an actual restaurant so that I wouldn't have to cook outside anymore.
Unfortunately, he passed away from complications of diabetes and never had the chance to see the restaurant that he helped get open.
The business is building very slowly and I also donate any unsold bbq to a homeless feeding program. However, it's getting very hard to sustain it and the last thing I would want to do is close the business and let my dad down. So here I am in desperation.
Our food is good and our customers have been great in leaving us great reviews on Yelp and Google.
There are three reasons that I need funds.
First, the business was incorporated in 2015 but the restaurant didn't actually open until November 2017. I didn't know that I still needed to file taxes for the business even though we were not opened yet. So the IRS and the State have penalized me for not filing in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Secondly, I need to buy another smoker and an air conditioning unit.
Thirdly, I need funds for supplies, bills etc. After paying the rent and insurance and other bills, my family has to sometimes help me buy supplies. The funds I'm asking for will keep money in the bank as a cushion even after I pay all of the bill and buy all of the supplies.
