Hello dear friends and family! This is Michala, Angie's daughter, starting this gofundme for her.
Many of you are now aware of my sweet mama's current life situation. If you are not aware, let me give you the really quick lowdown of what is going on:
She recently found out in December about some very unsavory antics of my dad's. He's now living with his girlfriend.
They filed for divorce after 32 years of marriage.....
Shortly after this, she had an abnormality in a mammogram only to find after a follow-up biopsy out she has stage 2 Breast Cancer.
She had surgery to remove the tumor shortly after returning from Texas to meet her newest Grandson! All looks pretty good but she was off work for over two weeks and has a lot of follow-up treatments she still has to deal with and her car is on it's very last leg. This is her only mode of transportation. She has no way to buy a new one as she only works part time at JoAnn Fabrics and is barely making it by since my dad left.
Shortly after surgery, she got the flu, causing her to miss even more work!
Still recovering from the flu, her basement backed up with RAW SEWAGE and she is now having to deal with that. Luckily, she has insurance but as has been the case in the past, the insurance is never enough to cover the bill. She will potentially miss work to have to meet with contractors to get repairs taken care of.
Since she found out about my dad, she has planned to move to Texas to be closer to her grandbabies (and me and Elizabeth of course)....but with all these time and financial setbacks, we're unsure of when this will be. We want to get her here sooner than later so she can continue treatment at MD Anderson in Houston.
We plan to use any money raised here to help cover medical expenses, help her get a new car, and help her with some bills while she is missing so much work!
My mom is the most amazing person I know. She is the strongest, most resilient, selfless human being I've ever met. She would do anything for anyone and would give you the shirt off her own back. She does so much to help other people, let's turn the tables and help her out in her darkest time of need. She is so humble, she'd never ask for help, so I'm doing it for her!!!
