Angie Frick Fund

Angie Frick worked for sixteen years as an elementary school teacher in Gwinnett County Title I schools. A loving wife and mother, Angie is known for her generosity, compassion, and keen ability to connect with and engage her students. Angie is also a beloved colleague and school leader, having devoted many extra hours and personal resources to spearhead projects that benefit her school community. It’s hard to find a person who was taught by Angie or worked with her who can’t immediately recount a way she helped or inspired them.

Now Angie needs our help.

In March 2018, Angie was diagnosed with Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia, a rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. To avoid several years of debilitating chemotherapy, Angie elected to seek a non-conventional treatment, which she believes is helping her. Unfortunately, the treatment costs $17,000 per month, none of which is covered by insurance. Angie’s family sold their home to cover the initial months of treatment and her husband has taken on additional work, but they have reached the end of their personal resources.

Please help us raise funds to cover the costs of Angie’s next year of medical treatment. Donations will go toward covering treatment, travel, and living expenses. If you have not already chosen a family to support this holiday, please consider supporting Angie’s family. If you are not able to offer a donation but would like to help Angie, please share this page with your social network. Every donation will make a difference to Angie and her family.
