Angi's _Fund_For_Battling_Lyme

Angi Drake (pictured on the right) with her husband, Darren, and two children adopted from Nepal, Rina & Ravi, has been suffering for years with Lyme Disease. Her and her family have spent out-of-pocket over $50,000 on treatments, surgery, and other expenses. Her symptoms have been debilitating. Recently, she has started having seizures which have caused her two additional hospital stays that have added their expenses. An MRI has revealed eleven lesions on her brain diagnosed as Late Stage Neurological Lyme Disease with co-infections, Babesia and Bartonella (also known as Lyme induced Multiple Sclerosis). She is now seeing an excellent Lyme doctor in Seattle. The medications and supplements she prescribes, most of which are not covered by insurance, run between $1,000 and $2,000 each month. While hospitalized from a recent seizure, it was noted that her heart is showing signs of distress and is giving off an enzyme that is a precursor for heart attacks. Now, more tests and more doctors will have to be involved. Because of the high costs, Angi is now refusing many of the expensive treatments which the doctors say are vital for her recovery. The Drake family has tried to manage the financial weight of this disease by selling things on Ebay to offset some of the high costs, but now because of her constant need for treatments, they are unable to continue their own fundraising activities.  With ambulance bills and hospital bills still pending, now more than ever, the Drakes need help from their family in Christ.
