Angels for Andrew

He is 22 and had his whole life ahead of him, but in a moment everything changed! The tents had been set up and the fire was crackling; spring was in the air.  It was March 10th, 2014, he and friends had set out on a camping trip.  Among them was Andrew John Wilcox, whose life was about to change forever.  Just being kids, enjoying the outdoors, Andrew fell from a tree 20 feet high.  Attempting to catch himself, he broke several bones in his dominate hand and three discs in his neck.  He was immediately taken to the Vanderbilt Trauma Center and is not expected to walk again!  He is facing the reality of how life can change in an instant!Andrew is a very special young man, loved by all who encounter him! He is a handsome, kind man you would want your son to be and your daughter to marry. He is an honor student in his senior year at MTSU, majoring in Business Administration.  He serves as the Social Chair for the MTSU Catholic Group and was a four year member of the Riverdale High School swim team. He has a great sense of humor, with a natural quick wit.  Andrew is very involved with his family; especially close to his younger brother, Kevin.Andrew was born December 24, 1991 in New York.  At age ten, his family moved to Tennessee, having lived in Texas as well.   He carries a part of each state with him in his love of professional sports: New York Knicks, Dallas Cowboys, and the Nashville Predators are among his favorites. Andrew will still be able to enjoy many of his favorite things such as watching the Predators, Marvel comics and church activities but unfortunately some of the simple tasks of everyday life will no longer be so simple.  The reality is that his life will be much different than he had planned.  Andrew is faced with new challenges, limitations, a loss of independence, and an uncertainty that will change every aspect of his life.  He has a long journey ahead of him filled with rehabilitation, adaptations, prayers and mounting medical bills.  Funds are needed for rehabilitation, hospital bills, adaptive equipment including a wheelchair, transportation, wheelchair ramps, renovations to his home, etc., the costs could be endless.  Andrew Wilcox needs YOUR help.
