Angels for Adam's Education

Adam is a young man who right now wants nothing more than to attend Holy Trinity Diocesan High School. His story was shared with me by a dear friend. After hearing the broad facts I felt a desire to get involved. After getting the details from the mom, Angela, I was absolutely certain that these were people in need of our help.
In October 2012 Adam and his parents, like so many Long Islanders, had their home severely damaged by Hurricane Sandy. They lived for 7-8 months in a hotel. In 2013 Adam and his parents received some government funds and moved home to rebuild and repair. However, 4 to 5 months later their contractor disappeared along with their money.
In October 2013 Adam's dad was hospitalized due to anxiety and depression. This was the first of several hospitalizations over the next 6 months. During that time period he also lost his job.
During April 2014 the father returned to the home. He advised Angela that he would be going to visit a friend out of state. He has never returned to his family.
Angela's income has recently been cut. The mortgage is in default and they are facing foreclosure. Angela is currently working with an agency to try and save their home.
Adam and Angela are not looking for money to cure their financial woes. They are simply trying to find a way to afford for Adam to attend Holy Trinity Diocesan High School.
Currently Adam attends a middle school in a district where gangs are not uncommon and a boy of his stature can face difficulties on a daily basis. After visiting Holy Trinity for a full day Adam felt a connection. He felt comfortable and safe. The school's sense of community was exactly what Adam desired for high school.
Holy Trinity has extended a $3000 per year grant to Adam. His grandmother can afford to contribute $2000 per year to his education. That leaves a $6000 per year shortage for tuition alone.
We are asking for your help for Adam. Contribute what you can so that he can attend school in a safe and spiritual environment. Help to give his mother peace of mind knowing that her son is safe and thriving.
