My friend Jennifer Cleveland is one of the most consistently funny people on Facebook. Recently, while planning a trip across the country to see friends, I found out some things about her life that prompted me to want to help out. She's had some medical issues this year that have drained her finances. In November she has to find a new place to live.
She was supposed to get workman's comp but was denied it by a large corporation so couldn't fight it. She's lost some of her hearing, which has made listening or talking extremely difficult. She has been diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia, which is called the suicide disease because it's so painful. Her doctor thinks she needs a complete workup for MS but she doesn't have insurance and her business is only paying for her medical bills,
She doesn't qualify for assistance in Arkansas, so I'm trying to raise some mney to help her immediately.
She told me she'd love to start a website to help people. Things like basic cooking, sewing, self care, and other things like that, but It's hard to think of anything when you're just trying to make it.
That's typical of people who spend a lot of time trying to make others feel better; they often don't say anything about their own needs. Jennifer told me she hasn't mentioned it because she didn't think people would care about yet another potential homeless person.
