Angel's homegoing celebration

Angels do live among us and we were so blessed to have one live in our home. It all started 2 years ago when Ja'Maria began to complain of a rash that started to spread. Her mother took her to the Dr where they prescribed simple antibiotics assuming it was probably a reaction to something she may have came in contact with that she was allergic too. But when she began to complain of body pain things took a turn. Doctors were puzzled because it's not everyday a 4 year complains of body pain yet after running test they diagnosed her with a host things from lupus to lung cancer but the medicines prescribed were not curing the way they thought it should be so they knew they had to go back to the drawing board. During the whole month she slipped into a coma Doctors were able to finally find that the right diagnosis for her was Junior Idiopathic Arthritis systemic onset. Which is a arthritis that shuts down the inside of the body which progressed her into also being diagnosed with Interstitial lung disease, Nocturnal hypoxemia, Pulmonary hypertension, Obstructive sleep apnea, Seasonal allergic rhinitis, and Seizures. Even though Doctors were able to find the problem curing it was a severe battle. Every effort to remedy this were unsuccessful which caused a year long hospital stay. In that time Ja'Maria was taken out of the custody of her mother whom she loved dearly and placed in medical foster care forcing her to fight this severe battle familyless because all ties to her family were not permitted at that time. Which really turned her away from being the happy joyfilled child she always was because everyday she was faced with the reality her little body could no longer do the fun things she did like bike riding, playing with friends, sleep overs, and just being a kid and sadly she never got a chance to start school which she looked forward to because she was so bright. In that time Ja'Maria no longer wanted to be called by that name but instead chose to called by her middle name Angel. Although the medical foster family she was placed with was filled with love Angel so longed to be with her family so we made it our business to get clearence for myself my wife and her big and little brother to make it to all her Drs appts . We all would turn hospital stays into slumber parties which she just loved we seen the joy family brought in her eyes! My wife (which is Angels maternal Aunt) and myself put our heads together and decided that since we already had Angels brother (whom we adopted when he was 7 months now 5 years old) it would only be right we make it our busines to bring her home with us which was a fight we made sure to win. The day we brought Angel home to us was the best day of our lives which she began to live the best days of her life. We went on road trips, park dates, birthday parties, beach days ,sunset movies I signed her up for school and although she wasn't able to go in to school she was so very excited when she was able to take school pictures with her brother. She was granted her dream to go to Disney World by the Childrens Dream fund and they sent us all on a week vacation where we were able to capture a host of great memories. Her days were filled with joy again everyday she woke up with a smile ready for whatever I had planned for the day. I watched her push herself to do what she thought she couldn't more importantly I helped her to know God so to the point she wouldn't even touch her food without praying over it 1st she began to be grateful for life again and no longer even paying attention to the many medications she had to take a day or the 2 ports in her body or the oxygen she needed all day and no longer fearing the pain she had to endure. To know Angel was to love her because her smile made anyone who came in contact with her instantly fall in love. She loved coloring, snuggling, cooking oh boy did she love food always willing to give me a helping hand in the kitchen. She and little brother Bryson and Big brother RaiQwan were able to form a even stronger bond between brother and sister that I know our sons will cherish forever. We find joy in knowing that on June 16 when she took her last breath in my arms she went in peace. Can't deny we are absolutely heartbroken no child should ever have to go through all the suffering our dear sweet Angel did.
While Angel was here we didn't concentrate on the financial strain all the dr appts, long hospital stays and carefree family fun times was putting on us as my wife was the only one working overtime every week because our sole purpose was to make Angels life as joyous as possible. Although we knew the severity of her sickness our efforts in getting life insurance for a already severely sick child were unsuccessful. Which is why we're faced with the reality of needing help in granting our sweet girl one last celebration for her homegoing which is costly. So whatever can be spared will be truly and GREATLY appreciated. Anybody that knew Angel knew Frozen was her favorite and she so wanted to have a birthday filled with Elsa and the frozen family and we would like to grant her one of the biggest frozen homegoing celebration ever! It was a honor to be so fortunate to be able to take care of Angel in her final days I only want to be sure to take care of her to the very end. We love and miss you Ja'Maria Angel Jones 10/26/2010 - 6/16/2017
