Angelo's Funeral Expenses

Donation protected
My dad, Angelo M. Seminerio, was born February 8th, 1946 in Patterson, New Jersey.  He went to Catholic School growing up and then attended Rutgers University for College but before he could finish he enlisted in the United States Air Force.  He was stationed in Michigan where he served through the Vietnam War until 1970.  He then went back to graduate from Rutgers with a Language degree, in Italian of course.  He married my mom, Madeline Romano and moved to Brooklyn.  They had their son Michael and later moved to Florida in 1980 where I was born.  He worked for the United States Postal Service until he retired.  Growing up I remember him driving me to softball games and school often.  He liked embarrassing me by singing in the car in front of my friends, which they thought was hilarious.  A lot of memories and inside jokes were shared through the years.  I really believed he tried his best to always talk to me and give me advise on life.  He loved his family and although the family he grew up with was still up North he always called and told me stories about what everyone was up to and how they were doing.  I asked him once why he didn't move back up north to be around everyone once I became an adult.  His answer was my kids are here in Florida.   He was a member of Holy Name Church for years and also sang in the choir.  He was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma a few years back and after 2 rounds of chemo had fought it successfully.  About a year ago I started noticing a change, and at the beginning of this year it was clear something just wasn't right.  His fight with diabetes caused him to have neuropathy in his legs.  It had gotten so bad he began falling a lot and soon was unable to walk.  Shortly after was diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimer's which progressed aggressively and quickly.  He succombed to his illnesses July 26th, 2017.  Watching my dad go through cancer, not be able to walk and struggle internally trying to make sense of his memories and reality was more than heartbreaking.  Not being able to do anything to stop it,change it or help was torture.  Finding out there is no financial means to give him the funeral and buriel I know he wanted/deserves is even worse.  So I am here to humbly ask if anyone was planning to donate to charity or send flowers please use this as it is much needed and immensely appreciated. The Funeral expenses although I am not sure of the full amount yet, waiting on cost of service at church are due to Funeral home by Tuesday Aug. 1st, 2017.
If I may say,  please please take care of these plans for yourself because being the loved one trying to navigate through this time dealing with this situation is not easy.

Sincerly,

Valerie(daughter)
