Angela's Fight

Hello all,

Angela Bockrath a dear friend, family member, co-worker, and all around loving person is currently kicking cancers a$$!  Angela is a fun loving, caring, and all around great person to be around.  I know, and I am sure you all agree, that Angela deserves and needs our prayers, love and support now more than ever.

In the beginning of 2017 Angela was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus and had to receive two spinal taps, and a now permanent shunt placed in her brain to relieve the pressure (I couldn’t imagine being awake for that surgery).  If the emotional and financial burden of surviving 2 brain surgery’s isn’t enough, throw in breast cancer a short few months later on top of that is not fair (to say the least).   Currently Angela is getting chemo treatments followed by going into surgery, then recovery of 6-8 weeks, radiation and more rounds of chemo treatments.

What is most amazing to me is that Angela has stayed upbeat and positive throughout.  Making jokes along the way and just rolling with the punches.  I truly believe that it’s her positivity and creativity with her illness that she is doing so well in fighting it.  She teaches first graders and is still working and teaching through her illness, only taking time off for chemo treatments, which are weekly.  She really cares about her students, she calls them her kids, and often purchases school supplies for them and provides them with healthy snacks out of her own pocket.  She is a great teacher and the kids need her just as much as we do.

This is where you and this fund come in.  We are reaching out to our amazing and supportive network of family and friends to help, in any and every, shape or form.  Any donation is greatly appreciated and will be a huge help to Angela over the next year of her recovery as the funds will go to help with medical bills as well as bills and expenses that will add up while Angela is out of work. Thank you for reading and considering Angela’s hard road ahead and any help giving will help her concentrate on her recovery and not the stresses of the expenses.

Thank you and God bless!
