Angela's Cervical Expense Fund

Hello my name is Angela Williams most of you know me for those of you that don’t, here is a short story of what is going on. I was diagnosed with cervical cancer on January 17th and am scheduled for a hysterectomy March 6th at the University of Washington. I have stage 1a1 with lymphovascular space invasion also with a a rare aggressive/invasive subtype cell. During surgery I will have my Fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, tissue surrounding the area, a small portion of the vagina and a undetermined amount of lymph nodes in the pelvic region removed. They will decide which and how many lymph nodes to remove after they are in. Once the pathology report is back from the lymph nodes it will be decided then if I will need chemo, radiation and/or chemo with radiation. For those close to me know I haven’t been well for quite a few months and I had been passing it off for my Rheumatoid Arthritis but after I began getting other symptoms I scheduled a checkup with the gynecologist and one thing led to another. Soon I was being scheduled for a D&C and Leep procedure which turned into a cone biopsy. The had done this because my pap showed CIN 3 which is severe dysplasia also know as precancerous. Shortly after I was called in to discuss the news of my cone biopsy results what they had found from my cone biopsy. Learning you have to have a hysterectomy at the age of 27 before you have had the chance to have children is extremely heartbreaking for me. But I have managed to remain very positive through all this and see the brighter side of things. After I recover I plan to advocate for other women and be a active member of the cancer survivor community. I plan to finally tell my life story and help other women not feel so alone in this crazy world. I plan to ride my dirt bike again and going on endless adventures with my love Jason, his son and my family. All that gives me hope and the ability to stay strong. Most of you that know me, know I am extremely stubborn when it comes to asking for help. So know that is hard for me to put this out there! But cancer isn’t cheap and most of you may know that I haven’t been working a full time job in the last few months so money has been extremely tight already. Insurance will cover a good portion of everything but there is still that portion they don’t as well as transportation costs, housing costs for the time in Seattle, meals, the time away from work for Jason and my mother while they take care of me the week of surgery and the following week or two after. I have a few appointments before in Seattle before the surgery. Our stay in Seattle is unknown after surgery as they will have to play it by ear for complications if any arise. (Cross my fingers everything goes smoothly) Thank you all for taking the time to read my brief story. Any help is extremely helpful to me and my family even if it’s just sharing this. Thank you!
