A couple weeks ago, Angela was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer that impacts her communication, decision-making, and motor skills. There is currently no cure for glioblastoma.
In late october Angela underwent a craniotomy to remove a 4 cm tumor from the frontal left lobe of her brain. Now, she must undergo her first year of intensive chemoradiation therapy. The costs of the drug medication will hopefully be subsidized by the Ontario Trillium Drug Program, but getting approval for her treatment may not occur for a couple of weeks, while she has already started undergoing the treatment, with her family bearing the costs.Angela has always been a kindhearted, hardworking, selfless woman, who has raised two smart, funny, and charming daughters. She is a loving mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend to those around her.
We, Angela's family, are asking for your support through this hard time to help her get the treatment she needs. Right now we're facing a really big challenge but with your help, we hope that we'll come out on the other side of this with Angela still at our sides.
