Angela's fight NF2 tumour story

Back in Feb of this year my mum (Angela wales) was diagnosed with NF2 a tumour on her spinal cord which was pressing against nerves in her spine causing sever back pain. Due to lockdown her appointment was over the phone with her neuro surgeon and surgery was scheduled for December 2020 and was advised without surgery the pressure to her spinal cord would gradually worsen and she'd eventually be in a wheelchair unable to walk.
Angela then Informed her employer in July of the circumstances as she gradually got worse and started having difficulty walking and was dismissed from her job.
As thing worsened and lockdown eased the desicion was made to bring forward to August dispute the threat of covid it was safer for the tumour to be removed ASAP as walking and daily tasks became more difficult.
Angela has her surgery on 27th of August 2020 the surgeon managed to remove only part of the tumour which will need monitoring as this will gradually grow back over time the tumour removed relived the spinal cord and nerves from some pressure but with the impact the spinal cord bounced back caused it to fill will blood and swell which to this day hasn't reduced meaning she has paralysis of both her legs and is unfortunately in a wheelchair and still in hospital awaiting a bed in another hospital to start her rehabilitation on into what this means for my mums life ie using a wheelchair and everyday life from a wheelchair.
Devastated doesn't come close and I'm sure people can appreciate how hard this is.
I aswell as my family will do whatever it takes to help and make sure these new challenges are made as comfortable and stress free as possible
So yeah I'm trying to raise some pennies to help with costs of things such as an electric wheelchair walking aids etc
