Angat Children's Christmas 2017

Donation protected
Thank you all for helping achieve our target this year. We held the Christmas party on December the 3rd at the small bamboo church on the shores of Angat Dam.
We handed out over 70 food hampers, 90 bags of toys and books. We also handed out much needed funds for health and met up with our sponsored students.

Our work will continue with expanding the education program this coming year and we hope to eventually sponsor every student who wishes to go to college.

We wish you all a happy Christmas and feel proud you were part of making a big difference to these remote and often forgotten people. It makes a huge difference when they know people from other places care.
Love from Fely, Mark and all of the wonderful volunteers

Original Story
Our names are Felyand Mark Dansie. With the assistance of many church volunteers, and friends, we assist several families and 70 plus children from the Dumagat Community at Angat Dam, Bulacan, Philippines to have a little more joy in their Christmas.

One of the local children

Last year we provided a motorcycle for the locals to trasport children to the school, and produce to the markets. We provide on going support to meet maintanence and fuel costs.  In past years we provided  solar panels, rechargeable lights and electronics so they can experience safe, low cost lighting and charge cell phones. We have also provided motors for boats. tools and other goods to help the villagers to become self suffient.

Each Christmas we  provide food hampers, footwear, hats, toiletries and presents for the children. In addition we provide funds for supporting the medical needs of those who are ill. I am pleased to report one teenager who was seriously ill and we held little hope for made a full recovery.

Left over funds  provide ongoing support for the educational needs of the children and am proud to say we have three already in college and twelve attending secondary school. We will be increasing ongoing funding for this program in 2018

The impact on these families is more than meets the eye. It uplifts their spirits to know so many people from countries far away actually think of them and care.

The Church at Angat Dam

We will match all funds raised and am happy to distribute copies of reciepts and a report on how the funds are spent to those who email us.

We need the funds before the 30th of November as we will travel up the mountain on the 3rd of December.

Kind regards and love to all
Mark & Fely Dansie
PS we are both residents of the Philippines but the charges to send funds from overseas to local banks is expensive.
The funds will go to an Australian (Mark Dansie) account and transfered here locally. We cover the ATM fees so no money is lost and all funds go directly to the people
