Andy's Acupuncture Fund

Donation protected
Hello friends,
As you know, Andy is rehabilitating from a stroke that has caused him right-sided weakness. He is getting great physical, occupational, and speech therapy as he heals one day at a time. Lauren shared with me that when the speech therapist recently asked Andy what he did for a living, he replied fluently, "I heal the spirit with my loving presence."  Here's to healing of all kinds.

You may also know that Andy has gotten some acupuncture. The good news is that both Mission and the VA have one approved acupuncturist who can provide service where Andy is. Even better news is that this acupuncturist happens to have studied with a pretty famous healer in China who specializes in healing from strokes.  See the Netflix documentary called "9,000 Needles."  Lauren is currently trying to get the acupuncture covered by insurance, but in the meantime she shared with me that she is paying for this out-of-pocket at $200 per visit, with the recommended frequency of three times per week. I offered to help set up  a Go Fund Me to help cover Andy's acupuncture while she advocates with insurance companies (Andy has several) to get it covered.   Lauren agreed that this would be a big help.

Lauren and I both marveled at the many ways that friends, family, and community have already gathered around them in support during this time.  If you feel so moved to help heal a healer in this way, with the gift of acupuncture, this Go Fund Me is one practical way you can contribute.
