Andy Graves’ Journey

Anyone who knows Andy knows he’s a funny, vibrant, kind man. He’s the greatest husband, dad, son, in-law, uncle, and friend. He always cracks a joke and keeps you laughing at his stories. This all changed when Andy’s health started to decline. Out of the blue Andy stopped being himself. He was sleeping a lot, wasn’t eating, had pain, and most importantly stopped doing the things he loved. Starting in June he had many visits to the doctor where he was told he needed to change his diet. On September 26, he continued to have pain and was sent in for a CT scan. Within hours he was notified to get to the emergency room because he had cancer. After a few tests and biopsies he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. By October 5, he was having chemotherapy.

For the last 9 weeks, Andy’s wife, Rosa, has become his primary caregiver. Because of this, Rosa has not been able to continue working full-time.

Andy, Rosa, and their 4 children are staying strong and doing their best to stay positive, but they really need our support. Andy’s cancer diagnosis has taken the family completely by surprise and already taken quite a toll on them physically, emotionally, and financially.

Many have asked how can they help the Graves family. This is a difficult time for their family, and asking for help makes it even more challenging. But donations are really what is needed to allow the family to focus on fighting Andy’s disease.

Our main goal is to keep Andy happy. We know Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer is a beast. We want to cherish our time with him and spend each day living life to the fullest. Andy wouldn’t want to spend his life fighting in a hospital he would want to fight and continue life!

The Graves family is grateful for what their friends and family have done to help in the last few weeks, and appreciates all of their continued support.

Prayers for Andy and his family are needed now and going forward as they fight this disease together.

Please share Andy’s story so that we might help him through his journey together.
