Andy Drosche's Medical Bills

Andy Drosche is 25 years old, married to Stephanie Drosche and has three adorable boxer dogs. He is currently in his first year of nursing school at the University Of Kansas School Of Nursing. A few months ago Andy begun experiencing fairly severe migraine headaches. A couple Wednesdays ago, he had an MRI done that revealed a mass sitting on his pineal gland. This mass was causing his CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) to not drain properly. That day he was admitted into the hospital and that Friday, February 2nd he had surgery that drained the fluid and a biopsy was also taken of the mass. Andy was able to leave the hospital the following Monday and has been resting at home since. Today, February 12, he had an appointment with the neuro oncologist. Andy was given the news that the tumor was not what they originally believed it to be. It is a rare tumor that they know little about and is presenting as a stage 2-3. Andy will have to undergo a more invasive surgery on March 7th at 8am. Following the surgery, he will have radiation treatments as well. Because so little is known about this type of tumor, the team is unsure if they will ever be able to cure it. This surgery has potential complications associated with it and is of course, very scary to undergo for Andy, his wife and his family. Please keep Andy in your continued prayers. He is someone that has such a positive attitude, is always cracking a joke of some sort and is of course so undeserving of something like this. But he is strong, young and healthy so Andy, his wife and family are keeping a positive attitude and unwavering faith. 

As everyone knows, something like this that is so out of the blue can quickly add up and result in hefty medical bills. Andy is unable to work and Stephanie is doing what she can but as anyone would, wants to be there for her husband as much as she can. Following surgery Andy will have to undergo continued medical care and treatments. At this point, it is unknown how extensive the bills may become. I will update this page as we know more. Anything you can contribute would mean a great deal to Andy and his loved ones.
