Andy & Sasha Adopt - The Power of Pink

Donation protected
We feel called to adopt a baby girl. God has placed this on hearts for years and now we are closer than ever! When Andy was a Missions Pastor in Oklahoma, he would purchase little girl dresses for our future daughter in every country he visited. We feel a deep longing to bring a little girl into our family that loves the Lord and has so much joy to share. And we are excited to add some pink to our family of 3 boys (plus a male dog and male cat...and Andy!).

We planned to start this process in 2017 but Sasha was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is a warrior and fought it until it was gone in April 2018. We praise God for her health and healing! Pink represented breast cancer for 2017 & 2018, but now we are excited for Pink to represent our new daughter!

We applied to adopt in June 2018 and our home study was approved in July...then we waited for 14 months and didn't have a match. After moving to Scott AFB in August 2019, we applied for our Illinois Home Study and were approved in November! We are now waiting with 5 different agencies and hopeful that we will be matched with a birth mom during the next 6-10 months!

We have invested substantially in the adoption so far, and have additional money saved, but will still need $40,000 or more to complete the adoption. This money pays for birth mother expenses, court costs for finalization, agency fees, travel, and more.
We have had friends and family ask how they can help with the adoption...giving  would be a tangible way that helps us bring our baby girl home.

Here's a quick story from Andy about the first gift for our GoFundMe adoption fund:

June 17, 2019 - "Testimony Time - I’m in Montgomery, AL for a chaplain course at Maxwell AFB this week. I had lunch at Chipotle with my old friend Gabe Lawson to catch-up after 10 years. As I approach my car to leave a man gestures for me to come towards his truck. He tells me that he overheard me share our plan to adopt a little girl and he felt God led him to give me all the cash in his wallet ($104) to help pay for the adoption. He says he never goes to the ATM but had done so today. I thanked him repeatedly and told him God Bless You. Then I shared with Gabe what happened and we prayed for God to bless this man and his family for his generosity. Thank You, Lord for using one of your people to bless me today. This was a wonderful confirmation of our desire to adopt as we applied with our adoption agency nearly one year ago exactly (June 8, 2018). I will not forget the man in the truck. I will continue praying for our little girl."

This stranger's generosity was a huge confirmation that God would provide for this adoption. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and for your support as well. Would you prayerfully consider donating today?

Love, Andy & Sasha
