It's a parent's worst nightmare.
On August 24th Andria Salinas had a seizure while on a flight home. Luckily, her sister was with her at the time and was by her side while she was immediately rushed to a hospital upon landing. Her family soon found out that the seizure was due to a ruptured brain aneurysm that flooded her brain with blood.
Since then she has undergone multiple surgeries and just as we all thought this was the only battle she would face, another brain aneurysm was found. She will likely need more surgery in the near future and will need to recover in the hospital for many many more weeks. Right now she is in the Intensive Care Unit with an EVD in the brain that allows all the blood and fluid to be drained out in order to control the swelling.
We are happy that she is being cared for by an amazing group of surgeons, surrounded by love and prayers from family and friends. Many have reached out wanting to support Andria and her family who have been by her side at the hospital throughout this whole process. The cost of Andria’s surgeries, hospitalization, and future therapy will grow over time. She has a long road of recovery and we are hoping to reach at least $6,000 to support her through these difficult times. The more financial support we can give her, the more therapy services she can obtain in the future.
Family and friends we are asking for any contributions towards her medical bills that are growing daily. Andria is only 19 years old and ruptured brain aneurysms are very uncommon for her age, as well as costly.
