Andrey Agapov Support & Recovery Fund

Donation protected

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

This fund is created to give anyone who wants to support Andrey and his family during this recovery a chance to.  Donations will greatly help the family recover from this trauma and we believe provide a moral support for Andrey himself.  Most cannot come visit in person or call directly during this difficult time but your small donation will be seen and greatly appreciated.  At this time, we believe this is the best method to help if you have it in your heart to do so and don't know where or how.  Your show of support and messages of hope will be shared with Andrey during this recovery.  Andreys surgeries and rehab costs are still accumulating and we wish for the best, however, we expect that the financial burden will be in the tens of thousands.  Insurance does not cover Brain rehabilitation to ensure Andrey can get all his cognitive abilities back and this will be entirely on friends & family!

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!  I know Andrey would only be happy to read your comments of support so please don't hesitate :)

God Bless.

BACKGROUND:

Andrey, known by many as Andreyka, is the fourth child of Andrey and Galina Agapov. From an early age, he showed a love of learning and excelled in his studies. This fall, aged 19, he started his senior year at Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst, while continuing his internship with the FDIC. He is an active and loved member of the church youth. He is also in his fourth year of Bible College and regularly participated in Gospel ministry in New York City. Andreyka is also engaged and planning a wedding for early summer 2020 with his beloved fiancee Yana.

INCIDENT:

In the evening on September 15th, Andreyka came to their family gathering after spending the weekend evangelizing in New York City. While driving home with his parents on the highway, they witnessed an accident right before them. They pulled over onto the median and rushed to help the victims of the accident. As Andreyka was on the phone with 911, a car struck him on the median. His body was thrown 60ft from the impact, where his parents found him unconscious near the guardrail. He was rushed to the hospital and admitted to the ICU with a concussion, brain bleed, fractured skull, broken facial bones, several lacerations, fractured vertebrae, and a broken femur. Repeat Ct scans show that the bleeding in the brain has not increased since the 17th. He had surgery on his right leg on the 16th, which was successful. We would like to thank everyone for lifting up the Agapov family in prayers. It is by the mercy of God that Andreyka is alive, all glory be to God. Ahead lies a long road to recovery for Andreyka.  Our prayer requests are for his brain to heal and for his intellect and cognitive abilities to be restored, and for memory to be restored. Please also pray for his bones and lacerations to heal, appetite to return and for strength and patience as they navigate this journey.

During this time, Andrey's parents are staying in the hospital day and night to care for their son.

The desires of our hearts is to see Andrey's health- both physical and spiritual- to be restored so he could continue to serve God with more energy and passion.

“I will give you back your health and heal your wounds,” says the Lord. – Jeremiah 30:17
