Our dear son, Andrew Abbott, a 20 year-old Tampa native who attends the University of Central Florida, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma in mid-April of 2017. Andrew is a loving and hardworking young man who is currently pursuing a degree in physical therapy to someday have a career helping others.
Since the initial diagnosis, two types of chemotherapy have been administered to try to shrink the tumorous mass spread across his chest beneath his rib cage. Unfortunately, the doctors here in Tampa, FL at Moffitt Cancer Center are not content with the progress and have recommended that he seek alternative treatment. The options available are mainly clinical trials that are only available in either Houston, TX or New York, NY. This will require Andrew and his mom to travel to one of these states and stay for an undeterminable amount of time. This is obviously a significant expense to the Abbott family and every dollar raised will be used to help heal Andrew during this very challenging time of his life. The amount of support, from all over, that Andrew and our family have received is so greatly appreciated. Thank you for all of your love, thoughts and prayers for our Andrew.
