Andrew's Kidney Donation to Cousin

My friend Andrew has recently been approved to undergo surgery to donate his kidney to his cousin Jamie, who has been suffering from a kidney disease for the past 18 years.
Jamie Chapman, 48, was diagnosed with a kidney disease called FSGS (Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis) and Nephrotic Syndrome in 1999. Since his diagnosis, this disease has robbed him of standard kidney function, forced him to suffer through chronic fatigue, and has resulted in the recent need for dialysis treatments as of March 2017. Jamie has been steadfast throughout this entire process, refusing to let this disease control his life. He has been an influential mentor in his local hockey community, as he has been coaching the Stoney Creek Sabres atom AA team back in Hamilton, Ontario.
For many years, the goal for Jamie has been to find a suitable donor to receive a kidney from; thereby giving him a chance to end the pain and suffering he has been enduring. Recently that goal has been achieved for Jamie, as his cousin Andrew has been approved as a donor and will undergo the kidney donation surgery in the end of April 2018. Andrew had begun medical tests in May 2017 to determine whether he would be a positive match to donate a kidney to his cousin. Fortunately for all, Andrew was indeed a positive match and was recently approved to begin preparations for the surgery.
Due to the surgery, Andrew will be unable to work for approximately up to two months; due to the physical nature of his work and the restrictions that his recovery will require. Additionally, Andrew will be required to make several trips back and forth from Ottawa to Hamilton to conduct tests before the surgery; thereby incurring more costs to travel and leaving him to find accommodations for his stay. While there are some programs set up through the hospital to aid donors financially through their recovery process, it is currently unknown whether or not Andrew meets the requirements to participate in such a program due to his current work situation.
As such, I have created a GoFundMe page in hopes that any additional funds donated will be able to help Andrew pay any expenses for his cost of living during his recovery, for his travel to and from Hamilton for the surgery, and to supplement the lack of wages he will forfeit due to an absence from work as he recovers.
All unused funds generated through this campaign will be donated once again to help kidney disease prevention and aid through a viable and registered charity of Andrew or Jamie's choosing.
