Andrew and Helen's Extra Expenses

Friends and family.  As many of you may or may not know, on August 28th my brother and his wife (Andrew and Helen Stark) welcomed their son Deaglan (pronounced Declan) into this life.  Like his older brother Fionn, Deaglan decided to arrive about 2 months early and was immediately admitted into the NICU for monitoring at the Tacoma General Hospital. Shortly after admittance he began to show signs of a rare lung disease and was quickly transported to the Seattle Children's Hospital where there is better equipment and doctors with more experience with this rare disease.
 
After spending the weekend in Seattle with Andrew and Helen I now know that Deaglan has been stabilized for the most part but has a long ways to go before he  can go home.  Andrew told me on the phone just today that their goal is to get him home before Christmas.  This means that one of them will be based in Seattle for most of the next 3 and a half months.  I was also informed that Andrew missed about two weeks of work directly following the birth and Hospital transfer, which was unpaid due to the nature of him just starting his new job.  

One of the blessings in this is that the Hospital bills are covered by their insurance.  Unfortunately the temporary loss of income, extra expenses of fuel commuting back and forth between Seattle and Tacoma, as well as the meals at the hospital are all items that were not budgeted for.  We are hoping to raise a few bucks to help cover these additional expenses.  We are grateful for any donations you might be able to provide for Andrew and Helen, and if you are not able to help financially, we will gratefully take your prayers of encouragement.  Thank You.
