Please help us support Andre Norwood, a young man who has become the 9th adult case in North America of Rasmussen Encephalitis. Once a healthy teenager, Andre has had his dreams completely destroyed by a disease that has quickly crippled his neural and motor abilities, in the span of 6 years.
Rasmussen encephalitis, sometimes referred to as Rasmussen syndrome, is a rare disorder of the central nervous system characterized by chronic progressive inflammation (encephalitis) of one cerebral hemisphere. The imflammation leads to loss of nerve cells and scar formation and usually results in severe disability.
We're on a mission to raise funds to help Andre and his family get the equipment and care Andre needs to no longer be institutionalized and give him better quality of life while he is still here with his family.
