Despair is a shadow that follows me closely these days. Sometimes, I am overwhelmed by it, other times I feel strong and hopeful. I want to bring as much presence as possible to this most recent diagnosis: stage 4 breast cancer that has spread to my lungs and bones.  To do this, I will be combining natural health supports with anti-estrogen/bone building protocol suggested by the Cancer Centre. Five years ago, I became aware of how sensitive my body is to harsh drugs (chemotherapy), ending up with an allergic reaction that halted a chemo treatment half way through. So this time I plan to create a balance that will hopefully allow me to feel as good as possible for as long as possible.  It may even lead to a radical remission! This fund-raising campaign will help me to incorporate healing modalities such as: Vitamin C intravenus injections, accupuncture, massage, osteopathy, homeopathy, naturopathy, supplements, natural pain management, and organic food.  We have already begun down this path, but to continue we will need your help as soon as possible.  It is humbling to be in this position. My husband Dan and I are artists/art teachers and our focus is going to have to shift - to managing my health crisis over the coming months. Your help will allow us to do this.
