Most of those who know me know that I'm a crazy Colombian that loves dancing and working out. I've been working on my undergrad as a foreigner for about 6 years and worked the entire time to sustain myself.  The time is here to become what my heart has a passion for, a physical therapist.
I want to help people move more, move better move painlessly and tell their brain that it is ok to load the shit out of their robust bodies.  I want to empower my future patients to love what their bodies allow them to do.
Learned English, check; got an associates degree, check;  graduated my bachelor's Summa Cum Laude, great let's get a real job,  just kidding some more hurdles to jump.  My application process came with great challenges that are to a certain extent outside of my control. I have to apply for several schools and most have supplemental fees, as of now I have to come up with $1200 just to pay for my application fees. This is not counting the GRE ($205) I have to register for in the next 2 weeks to be able to apply to. I decided to use Kaplan to study for it and I'm paying in 3 payments, my card was declined due to insufficient funds so I also have to come up with the last 2 payments of about $800  each in the next 3 months. ( wanna guess how many times my bank account can overdraft in a month?)
As I paid for my last 2 semesters on a credit card ( I wish I had someone there to tell me not to do that) I've been struggling to make payments of at least $382 per month (6% interest ), eat and pay rent. I tried renting my room at some point some guest tried to get into my room as I was sleeping so that was a no-go.
I honestly have struggled a lot before and have gotten through it with 3 jobs and I'm grateful for all the opportunities that have been given to me in that sense. Right now, my credit sucks so that's not an option, how can I come up with all this money in order to be able to go to grad school and not starve.  (I tried applying to DTA and they denied my request.  Seeing my mom this year is not even an option. I really don't want to give up, I've worked really hard to get to where I am and I have learned a lot along the way and I need to know when to ask for help and now is the time.
I'd like to thank in advance for any donation made is an investment in my education and probably peanut butter and bananas.
