Andre Health Drive

Hello everybody my name is Sarah Bono we are from Colorado Springs, CO. 
This campaign was started on behalf of my son Andre Vendrell. Andre suffers from hyperinsulinism and is critical hypoglycemic. These funds will help with out of pocket costs for our 6 weeks stay in Philadelphia. There andre will have a pancreas scan and a possible surgery. His father and I thank each and everyone of you for the donations given so far. 

Hyperinsulinism is a rare condition where it targets your pancreas our bodies naturally produce a balanced amount of insulin and sugar Andre however produces too much insulin which causes his sugars to spike as high as 430 or drops as low as in the 20s. Andre is also a very special little boy he shows no signs of seizures or signs that his sugars are all over the place. For anyone else if our sugar dropped below 30 we wouldn't be able to move or interact with anyone and have seizures but for andre his sugar can go as low as 13 and he's happy and playful.

Our goal for Philadelphia is that if its just a small part of his pancreas affected we can remove it and he'll be cured of this condition right now everything is day to day and we'll keep everyone posted on our journey.
