The EEG ONE ONE INDIAN project proposes the creation of electroencephalograms in Bathalapalli Hospital, located in the Anantapur district belonging to the region of Andra Pradesh, in southern India. Being referral hospital in the area and the district's largest.

One EEG One INDIAN is a project designed for diagnostic help of neurological disorders in children through a consistent test in an electroencephalogram to be held in India and interpreted from all the world by various related neuroscience professionals who provide information valuable health personnel in the area or region for correct diagnosis and treatment of patients. The main beneficiaries of this project are newborns and children up to 15 years belonging to the most discriminated and residents in rural areas of Anantapur district social classes.

Worldwide, the pathology of neurological origin generally has a high prevalence, about 50 million people suffer from epilepsy, making this disease the most common cause of neurological death. About 80% of patients live in low- and middle-income countries. People with epilepsy respond to treatment in approximately 70% of cases. About three-quarters of the people living in low- and middle-income countries do not receive the treatment they need. Patients and their families can suffer from stigmatization and discrimination by the proper use of medications allow patients to minimize attacks and improve their quality of life by at least 70% of cases, minimizing, plus in parallel psychiatric disorders that may result from this neurological disorder, especially in the infant stage, since 43% of children with epilepsy develop psychopathology.

Epilepsy can be treated easily and affordably with economic daily medication whose annual cost is only about $ 5-10. Recent studies in low- and middle-income countries have shown that up to 70% of newly diagnosed children and adults with epilepsy can be successfully treated (ie, have their seizures completely controlled) with anticonvulsant drugs. In addition, after 2 to 5 years of effective treatment and once missing seizures, drugs can be withdrawn to 70% of children and 60% of adults with no risk of further relapse.

Therefore, the realization of a simple and routine as EEG test provides valuable information for the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of neurological diseases and particularly in epilepsy. The aim of the project is to lay the foundations for the realization of electroencephalography in infants, children and adolescents as a diagnostic test method and additional support local medical personnel. In the future it is to extend this technology to adult and conducting related studies sleep disorders population. Technical equipment necessary -Electroencefalógrafo 44 digital channels including amplifier, software, trolley, color monitor 19 '', central unit and video camera (Web- cam) that allows us to store the data, for archiving, viewing, processing, printing and remote access to real-time or delayed. - Server with Intel processor, 2 GB of RAM and Windows operating system. This team should have a dedicated disk operating system, application and database manager SQL Server data and a second 1000GB hard drive for backup system studies. The server is located in one of the data centers of the FHC in which measures have physical access and equipment uninterruptible power supply (UPS) Connection via fiber optic line or ADSL with a bandwidth of 8Mbp Implementation The implanted system consists of three parts. First place (team data acquisition that allows the registration of the EEG signal and recording ambient video) and the second (reading station in which is the technological application that allows the specialist treatment and visualization the acquired data). The third, which is the PC server that can be accessed remotely through a user name and password from anywhere in Spain (and the world) through a "Team Viewer" program or platform type on line, for analysis and preparation of the report Data acquisition.

Activities, tasks and methodology:
-1 Phase: acquisition necessary for carrying out the electroencephalogram material. Contacting companies like Cadwell, Almevan, Inycom, Nihon Kodhen, Medtronic, Bionic. As well as software and / or online platform for reading and completion of the report from al the world by specialists in neurophysiology and / or Neurology familiar with EEG techniques.
-2 Phase: formation of 1 or 2 months of local staff and doctor to carry out the electroencephalogram. The training will be done by one or two medical specialists in clinical neurophysiology coming from Spain.
-3 Phase: via the online platform (http://www.1indian1eeg.com". Under construction) or likely Team Viewer program, will proceed to read on line registrations made by issuing a report and electro clinical trial that will serve for diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of the disease by the local health staff involved.
